East Jakarta Administration constructed new crossing on Jalan Selat Sulawesi, Duren Sawit. The effort was aimed to prevent puddle around the location.
Puddle occurred since old crossing depth was only one meter and full with utility network
The project is targeted to complete in the next two weeks.
Bambang Musyawardana, East Jakarta Mayor, admitted the 10 meter x 1.5 meter crossing is constructed to overcome puddle on Jalan Selat Sulawesi which able to reach 50-70 cm during heavy rain.
Agung Barat 1 Connecting Channel will Be Greened“Puddle occurred since old crossing depth was only one meter and full with utility network. So we have to modify the channel and deepen it,” he said, Wednesday (3/16).
According to him, the channel will be constructed in oblique position to avoid water inundating the road.
